The outdoor, family-friendly event benefits the foundation’s programs.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate and free for children 12 and under. Visit  HYPERLINK “http://www.exceptionalchilicookoff.com” www.exceptionalchilicookoff.com for more information or to buy tickets.

The price includes live entertainment by Rick Carter & The League of Legendary Artists, samplings of chili cooked by 80 teams and entertainment for kids. Hot dogs, ice cream, beverages and more will also be sold.

Patrons may vote for their favorite chili, and the team with the most votes will win the People’s Choice award. A grand prize, first runner-up, second runner-up, fundraising award and spirit award will also be presented.

The Exceptional Foundation is a non-profit organization which strives to meet the social and recreational needs of the mentally challenged population of the greater Birmingham area. For more information, visit  HYPERLINK “http://www.exceptionalfoundation.org” www.exceptionalfoundation.org.
