Let Prince of Peace students rock you and your mind in this one-of-a-kind, non-traditional open house. On the night of Feb. 2, doors will open promptly at 5 p.m. to permit entrance into the “POP Rocks” themed event. Adoring school-aged fans and their families are invited to dine in the Hard Rock Café Hoover with live performances from K-8 rockers. At this event, you will experience the spirit of Prince of Peace School and its tangible focus on crossing creative flair with an intense academic curriculum. After dinner, your head will be spinning with all that you can actually be an active part of: Learn to dance the Charleston, make quarters vanish in the science lab, tour a Live Hall of Presidents and learn “What Presidents Rocked To,” take home your own 24 math puzzler cd style, create guitar art while learning its history, be mesmerized by Shakespeare’s School of Rock, play “Rockity, Rock, Rock, Rock” while learning about the geological rock cycle – and these are just the tip of the iceberg. Why stay at home, when there is a free, awesome experience happening just down the street? Don’t wait too long to get out and about as the venue closes at 7:30 and won’t return until next year.
