More than 250 guests flocked to Iron City on Sept. 17 to celebrate the 20th Annual Signature Chefs Auction. The event brought together Birmingham’s top local chefs for a night of culinary masterpieces, fine wine, entertainment and a lively auction featuring luxury packages.
Featured restaurants and caterers included 5 Point Public House and Oyster Bar, Ashley Mac’s, Babalu Tacos and Tapas, FoodBar, Galley and Garden, GianMarco’s, Nourish, Primeaux Cheese and Vino, Spoon and Ladle Soup Co., The Grill at Iron City, Vecchia Pizzeria and Mercato, Vino and Wind Creek Hospitality.
The event was chaired by Patricia Wallwork. Liz Pharo, Emmett McLean and Alison Oliphant served on the event’s revenue committee. The auction was organized by Maretta Ashford, Jodi Burrus, Jill Everette and Julie Schneider.
Rick Journey served as the emcee for the evening and Guin Robinson took on the role of auctioneer.
The live auction presented luxury items up for grabs, including a Savannah, Georgia, getaway and a Christmas dinner for six at GianMarco’s.
Altogether, the event raised more than $157,000 for March of Dimes, an organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies through prevention of birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.
