The Cathedral Church of the Advent will host its annual Cathedral Concert Series, featuring free concerts at 7:30 p.m. – excluding the Feb. 22 performance which requires tickets.

Fri., Nov. 2: Advent’s Director of Music and Organist Frederick Teardo will perform on the church’s 100-rank Grieb-Williams organ. The concert celebrates Teardo’s sixth anniversary with the church and will include works by Bach, Bossi, Franck, Reger, Vierne, and others.

Thurs., Jan. 10: Multiple award-winning organist and harpsichordist Michael Unger, assistant professor of keyboard at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in Ohio, will perform on the organ. Unger has played all around the world and has been a first prize-winner of the International Organ Competition Musashino-Tokyo, and a first prize- and audience prize-winner of the National Young Artists’ Competition of the American Guild of Organists.

Fri., Feb. 22: The British vocal ensemble VOCES8 performs repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary commissions and arrangements. The ensemble is a Decca Classics artist and has released acclaimed recordings that have been at the top of the classical charts.
