AROVA Ballet will present “Boomerang” Oct. 15-18 and 22-25 at the Alabama Ballet Center for Dance.
Showtimes are Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.. “Boomerang” is a full-length contemporary ballet, choreographed by Artistic Director Jamorris Rivers, and will feature AROVA company dancers as well as seventeen ballet and hip hop high school dancers from around central Alabama.
“Boomerang” depicts today’s relevant social issue of bullying and will explore the roles that family plays in the development of youth in our society and the conflict that results from free speech and expression within different racial, social and economic groups.
