Kelly Garner, Vestavia Hills resident and the well-known good samaritan of the January 2014 “snowpocolypse” weather event will be speaking about his story of survival and the important role exercise played in his recovery. Garner, a diabetic, was helping stranded motorists during the ice storm when his blood sugar dropped and he fell into a ravine and sustained a head and back injury.
