Dr. Lili M. Levinowitz, director of research at Music Together LLC and an international expert on early childhood music education, will lead a three day Music Together Teacher Training Workshop Nov. 13-15 in Homewood.
This event is for anyone who is looking to explore teaching the award-winning program, and wants to learn how to combine a passion for music with a love of children. According to Dr. Levinowitz, there is no typical Music Together teacher. Some have formal music training, many do not.
“We have thousands of teaches around the world who are actors, singers, dancers, educators, students, therapists and parents, all of whom, with the help of our ongoing training and support, have become successful fulfilled teachers from the same simple prerequisites — the ability to sing in tune and move in time, and a love of music and children,” she said. “We are excited to bring this workshop to Alabama, where we believe there are potential teachers eager to learn about Music Together and how to get paid for doing something so rewarding!”
Music Together is an internationally recognized, developmentally appropriate early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through grade two.
