The Levite Jewish Community Center is responding to the needs of the Birmingham Community by serving as a Farmers to Families distribution site for the Community Food Bank of Alabama today, Sept. 14.
LJCC staff and volunteers along with N.E. Miles Jewish Day School students will pass out up to 300 boxes of fresh produce to those in need on a first come first serve basis today between 10:30 a.m. and noon, or until supplies last.
Families and individuals seeking assistance will not be asked for identification or proof of need and will receive one box per vehicle.
Visitors are asked to enter the parking lot at the traffic light entrance closest to the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School and follow volunteer instruction for pick-up.
