Appointment-only COVID-19 registration and testing at Ross Bridge Medical Center and Pediatrics opened on March 17.
To be tested, all patients must call 205-922-6843 for an over-the-phone consultation with a healthcare provider. All patients will then be given a designated time-slot for a physician-administered swab test at the clinic.
Swab tests will take place at the patient’s vehicle, and patients should remain inside their cars with the windows rolled up.
This appointment-only registration and testing process will reduce lines and person-to-person contact to ensure the safety of the community.
“Safety is a priority and we believe this appointment-only registration and testing process will eliminate overcrowding so that we can adequately treat as many people as possible,” said Purvi Shah, CEO of Novamedicos. “Our team of physicians at Ross Bridge Medical Center and Pediatrics – Dr. Devani, Dr. Labovitz, and Dr. Balas – are here to provide a safe testing environment and necessary treatment if needed.”
In partnership with LabWorks, tests will be administered daily upon the needs of patients, and patients will be notified as soon as results are made available. All major insurance carriers will be accepted, along with Medicare and Medicaid.
“We are grateful to be working alongside amazing physicians and staff at Ross Bridge Medical Center and Pediatrics,” said Todd Cook of LabWorks. “We have developed a safe and efficient test-administered process, and we are committed to serving our community above and beyond during this COVID-19 crisis.”
LabWork will donate a portion of the COVID-19 test proceeds back to local relief efforts.
Appointment-only services will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday and appointments can be made by calling 205-922-6843. Ross Bridge Medical Center & Pediatrics is located at 3635 Market Street, Hoover, Alabama 35226. Liberty Pediatrics, a second testing location, is expected to be in operation by the end of the week to provide additional support.
