Aldridge Gardens will celebrate the second anniversary of its Veterans Memorial Arbor. Included will be a small ceremony recognizing our nation’s veterans along with many veteran Aldridge Gardens members. A reception will be held in the Aldridge Gardens House afterwards.
Parents and grandparents, bring your child/grandchild to a tea party presented by Aldridge Gardens. Guests are invited to decorate and plant a small fairy garden together, eat finger sandwiches with tea and cookies; and enjoy an Alice in Aldridge Gardens theme. Hats are welcome.
Learn a lot about whiskey from bartender and author Clair McLafferty while enjoying adult beverages and light refreshments. McLafferty's book "Classic and Craft Cocktail Recipe Book" will be available for purchase and signing. Attendees must be 21 or older to participate.
The City of Hoover will hold its 18th celebration from 9:30 a.m.-noon. The city will hand out free trees and will hold a formal Arbor Day ceremony recognizing the Hoover School's Fourth Grade Arbor Day Essay Contest winners followed by a ceremonial tree planting.
