Students, faculty and community members gathered at Vestavia Hills High School for the run to support the Rise beneficiary, the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB.
As participants ran toward the finish line, they were doused in colored pigments. The after party included music, a bake sale and doughnuts from the Heavenly Donuts food truck.
The fundraiser will culminate April 12 with Rise Day at VHHS from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
