Rachael Dollins has been elected president of Homewood Rotary for 2025-2026. Dollins, an attorney in private practice who specializes in estate planning and small business development, has served in various Homewood Rotary roles since 2019.
Other newly-elected officers are Crystal Lee, president-elect; Kathryn Henry, president-elect nominee; Bara Lamon, secretary; Kate Etheredge, treasurer; and Sandy Nelson, sergeant-at-arms. Robert Holmes, Jr., is immediate past president.
The leadership team also includes five directors: Jennifer Kyle, club service; Jo-Ann Bradley, youth service; Robert Sprain, community service; Mike O’Kelley, Rotary Foundation; and Bo Duke, Club Foundation director-at-large.
Homewood Rotary generously supports local, national and international projects through hands-on service and financial donations.
Its annual college scholarship program has assisted hundreds of Homewood High School graduates since the 1980s. In 2025 alone, these scholarships totaled $20,000. Club members also award stipends for students to attend an annual north Alabama Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program.
Getting to know the recipients of these monetary awards is a high point for the club members each year. Other projects impact residents of all ages throughout the community. Many of the needed monies result from a St. Patrick’s Day dinner and auction each March, in addition to other fundraisers and individual donations.
