Saturday begins with a Walk for Epilepsy at Railroad Park in downtown Birmingham. That evening, showcases 4th Annual Wings of Hope Gala, created and hosted by current Miss Jefferson County 2026 Elaina Burt (a Hoover resident and Miss Alabama Teen 2023).
The Walk
Walk in person or virtually – and help create a future of hope, connection, and strength. Together, with every action we take and every dollar we raise, we strengthen our shared vision: to ensure that no one faces epilepsy alone. There is no fee to register, however when you raise $50 or more you’ll earn this year’s official 2025 Walk for Epilepsy – Birmingham event merchandise.

10 AM | Arrive and get checked in or get registered and ready to walk! Explore our partner tents, enjoy light refreshments and participate in our family-friendly activities.
10:30 AM | Opening Remarks: Hear from community partners, celebrate our top fundraisers, learn about our mission and recognize our loved ones affected by epilepsy and seizures.
11 AM | Walk with your team! The Walk course is 1 mile long. Feel free to walk as many times as you would like!

The Gala
Saturday night Nov 1st marks a special evening at the 4th Annual Wings of Hope Gala Dinner at the Southern Museum of Flight benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama. This event has raised almost $100,000 in three years. The events includes a fun-filled night including dinner, live music, special guests, photo booth fun and a silent auction! Each event ticket includes two beverage coupons.
