Parenting is one of life’s greatest joys and one of its biggest challenges. Many parents today are helping their children navigate stress, anxiety, big emotions, social pressures, packed schedules, and a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Rev. Monica Harbarger will be giving a talk Wednesday, September 9, 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. (with an optional Tre Luna dinner available at 5:45 p.m.) at Bluff Park United Methodist Church on Parenting in an Anxious World: Raising Resilient Kids. Rev. Monica, a licensed counselor is the executive director of United Counseling, the United Methodist Church’s para-church arm for counseling work. Rev. Monica will share practical insights and encouragement around children’s mental health, anxiety, emotional well-being, and ways parents can help their kids build resilience. She will also explore some of the challenges families are facing today and talk about meaningful ways to support children as they grow.
The talk is free and childcare is provided.
