
Samford professor, professional musician, and author Steven Potaczek has a book coming out Oct 1 on Bloomsbury called Fear Not, Creative: How to Futureproof Your Artistic Career in the Age of AI.
Steven is the founding director of Samford University’s Commercial Music program. He is also an award-winning songwriter and producer who has written several Billboard Top 40 hits, placed music on television shows including Parks and Recreation, New Girl, and America’s Next Top Model, and collaborated with organizations such as MTV, National Geographic, and the NBA.

In Fear Not, Creative, Steven examines how generative AI is changing the work of musicians, writers, artists, and other creative professionals. Drawing from his experience in both the professional music industry and the university classroom, he offers practical guidance for adapting to technological disruption while protecting the individual voices that give creative work its value.
