Celebrate Chinese New Year: The Year of the Snake at the Birmingham Museum of Art at 10 a.m. on Feb. 9. There will be art activities, a kid-friendly tour of the museum, a student artwork reception and a screening of the film “Kung Fu Panda 2.” The event is free and open to all ages.
