Barlow-Weingarten
Dr. and Mrs. James B. Barlow Jr. of McDonough, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Allie Barlow, to Grant Weingarten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Weingarten of Birmingham.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Ann Barlow of Maryville, Tenn., and the late Dr. James B. Barlow Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Kocmond of Newnan, Ga.
Miss Barlow is a graduate of Auburn University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She is employed with Capital One Bank in New Orleans.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Gilchrist of Birmingham and the late Mr. John Gilchrist Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Weingarten of Birmingham.
Mr. Weingarten is a graduate of Auburn University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He received a master’s degree in global medicine from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Mr. Weingarten is employed with the Red Cross in New Orleans.
The wedding is planned for June 7.
