
Mrs. Lisa Smith Sharp of Mountain Brook and Mr. Glenn Dewayne Sharp of Trussville announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Catherine Sharp, to Benjamin Walter Dunham, son of Dr. and Mrs. William King Dunham Jr. of Birmingham.
The bride‐elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Don Cecil Smith and the late Mr. Smith of Mountain Brook and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Daniel Sharp of Decatur and Mrs. Linda Glenn Sharp of Birmingham.
Ms. Sharp is a 2007 graduate of Mountain Brook High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She was presented at the 2010 Ball of Roses. Ms. Sharp is currently employed by the American Cancer Society and is a community manager for Relay for Life.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William King Dunham of Tuscaloosa and the late Mr. Albert King Walter of Washington, D.C. as well as the late Mrs. Kathryn Wilkins Walter of Fredericksburg, Va. Mr. Dunham is a 2008 graduate of Briarwood Christian High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management with a minor in business administration. Mr. Dunham is self‐employed.
The wedding is planned for April 18 at the Sonnet House in Leeds.
