Sugarcane Jane will open for Steve Winwood at the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center May 2 at 8 p.m.
This Alabama Gulf Coast-based Americana duo just released their new album Dirt Road’s End. Both virtuosos in their own right, Anthony (vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and bass drum) and Savana (vocals, rhythm guitar, tambourine, and snare drum) purvey a sound they call “organic music at its finest,” drawing from a deep well of roots influences, with a touch of
gospel, country, jazz and rock.
Additionally, Anthony has a rich history, having worked with Neil Young, Steve Winwood, Sonny James, Dwight Yoakam, Vince Gill, Rosanne Cash, and Rodney Crowell, to name a few.
