Mrs. Robert “Susan” Pendleton, formerly of Hoover, announces the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Pendleton, to Michael Cole Shannon, son of Ms. Winn Shannon of Mountain Brook and Mr. Michael Shannon of Mountain Brook. Miss Pendleton is the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Pendleton.
The bride‐elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ernest L. “Mary Lou” Bell and the late Mr. Ernest Bell of Scottsboro as well as the late Ms. Maud Pendleton Tucker and Mr. Robert Pendleton of Monticello, Kentucky.
Miss Pendleton is a 2006 graduate of Hoover High School. She is an honor graduate of Auburn University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in interior design and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Miss Pendleton is employed with T. Duffy and Associates in Atlanta.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Ms. Margaret Cole of Mountain Brook and Mr. Thornton Cole of Navarre, Florida, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Shannon of Anniston.
Mr. Shannon is an honors graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in economics. He is employed with Regions Bank in Atlanta.
The wedding will be held April 16 in Birmingham.
