Birmingham Metro LLC announced the development of a new multi-use campus, Arbor Terrace, at the former Trinity/Baptist Montclair Medical Center site on Monday, March 30. Construction on the site is estimated to begin in the fall of 2020.
“Arbor Terrace” will span 75 acres, extending along Montclair Road from Dan Hudson Dr. S. to 52nd St. S., and will be the home for a corporate headquarters and multi-use campus with residential, medical and community-oriented retail and café spaces.
Other Birmingham Metro LLC developments in the state of Alabama include Stadium Trace Village in Hoover and The Landing in Opelika.
Overlooking Mountain Brook’s Crestline Village, Mountain Brook and the Highway 280 corridor to the south, Arbor Terrace will include more than 300,000 sq. ft. of fully renovated buildings with all-new infrastructure. New features will include high-speed elevators, advanced life-safety systems, modern architectural design features and easily-accessed covered parking. The area surrounding the buildings will also include new and expanded nature trails, a private indoor golf range, a central courtyard and more.
In addition, five graded building pads on site will be available for purchase by other developers.
“Our team is honored to be part of the continued expansion of this iconic and thriving area,” said development director Will Kadish. “We look forward to welcoming new tenants, businesses and guests who are looking for a serene and upscale community experience while remaining close to Birmingham’s vibrant downtown district.
Kadish is joined by a Birmingham-based team to lead this project, including Schoel Engineering Co. Inc., Sirote & Permutt PC, Southpace Properties Inc., Williams Blackstock Architects, Stewart/Perry Builders, Bullock Environmental, Skipper Traffic Engineering and Summit Electric.
“It’s our mission to showcase the natural beauty, sophistication and inherent convenience that this one-of-a-kind area brings to the table,” said Kadish. “Arbor Terrace will have something for everyone – from enterprising executives, career-focused professionals, avid nature enthusiasts and high-end culture connoisseurs. We’re certain that locals will be delighted by all that the site has to offer, and we can’t wait to showcase it.”
