Mr. and Mrs. John Gerard Joseph of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Lynne Joseph, to Charles Phillip Lawrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robert Lawrence of Birmingham.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mitchell Joseph and the late Mr. Joseph of Birmingham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aziz George Maluff of Birmingham.
Miss Joseph is a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in biology and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She received a master’s degree in early childhood/elementary education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2010.
She is a teacher at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips Nelson and Ms. Mattilene Amberson Lawrence of Birmingham and the late Mr. Charles Clemont Lawrence, also of Birmingham.
Mr. Lawrence is a graduate of Kingwood Christian School and Auburn University. He received his doctor of pharmacy in 2007 from the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.
He is employed at Walgreen’s Pharmacy.
The wedding is planned for July 30.
