
Hartley Elise Grubbs and Charles Andrew Nichols were married Sept. 25, 2010, at the Alabama 4-H Center Memorial Chapel. Rev. Casey Giddens officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Grubbs III of Hoover. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Nichols of Thomasville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled train. Her fingertip length, lace-edged veil was her mother’s, and her bouquet was wrapped in ribbon from her sister’s wedding.
Mrs. Tyler Katherine Drouet, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Novack Andrews, Lindsay Ann Bean, Beth McElroy Hill, Abbygail Tull Langham, Elizabeth Nichols Ledkins, Ruth Lettieri McElroy and Laura Leigh Thompson. Flower girls were Katherine Ledkins and Mary Claire Ledkins.
The groom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Dozier Ashcraft, Ryan Dawson Knight, William Larry Knight, Grant Nicholas Lolley, Carleton Shahan Nichols, John David Nichols and Adam Charles Stults.
After a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple live in Birmingham.
