Beaker Bash ’06: Science Rocks will have patrons partying like rock stars at McWane Science Center on Nov. 4, beginning at 7 p.m. The Amazing Live Sea Monkeys will provide music while guests devour delicacies from Daniel George restaurant, and concoct mind-bending formulas for cosmic cocktails. Guests will have a chance to win “rocks” provided by Barton Clay Fine Jewelers. Beaker Bash is McWane Science Center’s annual fund-raiser. Each year the museum is transformed into a learning playground for adults to explore, experiment and learn about science, all while supporting the educational programs and exhibits of the center. Planning Beaker Bash are: corporate chairman Raymond Harbert, event chairman Kaye Emack, committee chairmen Betsy Blakely, Francie Deaton, Martha Elliott, Cissy Jackson, Wendy Morris, Lee Sewell and Sumner Starling, with committee members Nicki Barnes, Jodi Benck, Harriet Brewster, Katherine Brinkley, Capriccia Carney, Barbara Cooney, Kathleen Doss, Ennis Everette, Penney Hartline, Linda Holloway, Kelli Jetmundsen, Chappell Miller, Lisa Miller, Leigh Ann Moor, Carrie Morrow, Leslie Naff, Sullins Phelan, Sara Schilleci and Ivy Watson.
