Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ fifth annual Antiques at The Gardens commences with the Sterne Agee First Look party on Thursday, September 30. Celebrated Friday, October 1 through Sunday, October 3, Antiques at The Gardens features dozens of premier dealers from across the United States. The flower Designer Preview will be Friday, October 1 at 9 a.m. and the Red Diamond Lecture Series will take place on Friday, October 1 with a morning lecture DeJuan Stroud taking the stage at 10:30 a.m. and an afternoon lecture from Miles Redd at 1 p.m.
Continental and American furniture, antique silver, jewelry, paintings, lighting, china, oriental rugs and more will be available for purchase over the weekend. All booths are on the main floor of The Garden Center and are easily accessible. Gourmet box lunches will be available at The Gardens Cafe from 11-2 p.m. every day.
Proceeds from Antiques at The Gardens benefit the educational mission of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, which includes programs like Discovery Field Trips, Horticultural Therapy and family classes. During the last 4 years of this antiques show, more than 38,000 children in the greater Birmingham area have reaped the benefits of free, curriculum-based field trips to The Gardens.
