Imagination and arts education have a new home in Birmingham, and ArtPlay, the new education and outreach house from UAB’s Alys Stephens Center, will celebrate its grand opening with ArtPlay ArtDay 2011, a community open house April 16.
The ArtDay community open house will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16, rain or shine. The family event will feature live music by local performers including the UAB Steel Drum Band, free food and drinks, interactive class demonstrations, creative kids’ activities and chances to win prizes, such as the ArtPlay class of your choice, tickets to events at the Alys Stephens Center and more.
