Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™

Alabama Ballet presents its most joyful holiday gift to the southeast when the company begins its eighth annual production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™. This performance is held at the Samford Wright Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Under the artistic direction of Tracey Alvey, Alabama Ballet is one of six companies in the world, and the only one in the Southeast, licensed by the Balanchine Trust to perform the production made famous by the New York City Ballet. A wonderful ballet for the entire family, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ is the perfect way to ring in the holiday season and to introduce young children to the power and beauty of classical ballet.
