“Band of Angels” World Premiere

The Magic City Choral Society Men’s and Women’s Chorus will lead a collaboration with choirs from Ramsay High School, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Alabama A&M University to present the world premiere of “Band of Angels” on Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center Jemison Hall. The work is by Alabama composer K. Lee Scott. The event will be in remembrance of the four girls who died in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombings in 1963 and the two boys who were also killed that day. Admission is free.
