Artists on the Bluff
Those attending the beginning silversmithing class at Cecily Chaney’s studio at Artists on the Bluff will learn the basics of silversmithing. The classes are Aug. 24- Sept. 1 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day and will include instruction on soldering bezel cups, making rings, designing pendants and earrings and making a soldered link chain bracelet. Students will cut sheet metal and wire to make their pieces and learn to finish them with filing, sanding, grinders and polishers. Space is limited to four students.
