After school bridge classes are scheduled to begin on September 16 at the Vestavia Civic Center from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. There will be no charge for these classes.Playing bridge has been proven to help students improve social skills, increase memory, develop planning abilities, as well as learning how to create strategies and to work cooperatively. This game offers continuous challenges and can become a hobby that will continue into adulthood.Anyone who is in the 5th – 8th grades and is interested in participating in the Thursday afternoon classes should call Jane at 822-5118. Pre-registration is needed so that free textbooks and materials can be ordered for the participants.
