Elegant in Black & White: Sixteen Debutantes Presented at Annual Event

The Birmingham Debutante Club honored 16 young women at its 2015 Black and White Ball on Nov. 27 at the Country Club of Birmingham. The event has been known as the Heritage Ball, but the club this year used the name of the first ball, held in 1929 – The Black and White Ball. The Schaeffer Eye Center’s Fashions for the Foundation 2015 was held Nov. 9 at the newly opened Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook. Bravo! Group Raises Scholarship Funds for Children of Fallen Soldiers

The Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund hosted a sold out event Oct. 29 with 325 people attending, including military veterans and Birmingham corporate leaders. The gala was the debut event for the foundation, held at the new Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook. Gala in the Gardens: Black Tie Party Caps Off Four-day Event

At the annual four-day Antiques in the Gardens, guests flooded the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for lectures, installations and a black-tie affair.
