Rush to Retire: Pizitz Middle School Coach Stepping Down After 37 Years

Mountain Brook’s Trendon Watford State Rebound Leader

When the Spartans basketball team defeated Hewitt-Trussville 63-39 on Jan. 5, Mountain Brook's Tendon Watford's last rebound of the night made him the AHSAA all-time rebound leader.Watford, a 6-foot-9 senior, had 1,821 rebounds following that win, and he added another 12 rebounds in thee Spartans' win over Memphis East to give him 1,833 rebounds for the season. Vestavia Hills Bowling Wins Boys’ First Title

Vestavia Hills boys bowling won the team's first state title Friday, defeating East Limestone by 35 pins.The Rebels totaled a 1,538 and the Pirates had a 1,503 final score.
