
Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Clay of Vestavia Hills announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Dianne Clay, to Richard James Clement Gay, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Gay of Bournemouth, England.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Gilbert Perrigin and the late Mr. John Gilbert Perrigin of Birmingham and Mrs. William Thomas Clay and the late Mr. William Thomas Clay of Montgomery.
Miss Clay is a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School and Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in international relations and the University of Exeter, Exeter, England with a master’s degree in international affairs. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and was presented at the 2005 Poinsettia Ball. She is employed in London.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Frederick Herbert Duke and the late Mr. Frederick Herbert Duke of Bromley, England and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Clement Gay of Salisbury, England.
Mr. Gay is a graduate of Bournemouth School and the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, England with a bachelor’s degree in music. He is employed in London.
The wedding will take place April 28 at The Church of St. John the Evangelist, Holdenhurst Village, Bournemouth, England.
