Mr. and Mrs. David Crocker of Hoover announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Marie, to Matthew Bryson Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Smith, also of Hoover.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Fady Rau and the late Mr. Robert Rau of Arlington, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Crocker of DeSoto, Texas.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Sloan Sr. of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde H. Smith of Union Springs.
Miss Smith graduated from Spain Park High School and Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is employed in Atlanta.
Mr. Smith graduated from Spain Park High School and Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. He is employed in Atlanta.
The wedding is planned for June 25, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Hoover.
