Earth Day at The Gardens will honor veterans beginning with a USO Tribute Show on the evening of April 22 in the Ruth B. Strange Auditorium. Doors open to the public for the free event at 6 p.m.
On April 25, the outdoor celebration takes place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Formal Garden in front of the Conservatory. Birmingham Botanical Gardens looks back at the history of Victory Gardens, specifically World War II gardens, through an archival display and educational activities inspired by 1945 and the war era.
