Boiling ’N’ Bragging, a football kickoff event that’s a benefit for Children’s of Alabama, is set for Aug. 13 at Otey’s Tavern.
The third annual party is hosted by Rotary District 6860 and the Rotaract Club of Shelby County.
Football enthusiasts are invited to an all-you-can-eat seafood boil and cookout. The event includes live music by Sean “Rockstar” Heniger and The Hurlers, special guest Lance Taylor from WJOX’s Roundtable, hourly activities for kids and adults and $1 beer specials from 6 to 9 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit Critical Care Transport at Children’s of Alabama.
Guests are encouraged to wear their team colors. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; kids ages 10 and under get in free.
