Out of the Darkness Community Walk

More than 2,000 people from throughout Alabama are expected to participate in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Nov. 3 at Heardmont Park. The fundraising walk supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by helping to support local and national suicide prevention and awareness programs. Registration begins at 1 p.m., and the walk begins at 2:30 p.m. There is no registration fee to walk. The walk routes are paved and will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers.
