The Preserve
The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation will host the Head over Teal 5K and Family Day at The Preserve in Hoover from 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 27. The event will include beer from Good People Brewery, pizza from Little Caesar’s, live music, children’s activities and a blood drive. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. and will be followed by a one-mile run/walk. Chip timing is available for the 5K. Those attending can bring picnic lunches or purchase food from the vendors at the event. Parking and free shuttle service will be available from Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Preserve Parkway. Onsite registration starts at 7 a.m. on race day, but discounts are available for those registering before Sept. 10.
