On Fri., Dec. 28, and Saturday, Dec. 29, high school wrestlers from across the state competed in the Heart of Dixie Wrestling Tournament at Vestavia Hills High School.
Vestavia’s team finished first in the tournament, with an overall score of 947.
Other OTM wrestling teams who competed were Hoover, who placed third with 590 points; Oak Mountain, who placed sixth with 430 points; Spain Park, who placed ninth with 370 points; and Homewood, who placed 13th with 89 points.
