Patrons at the Hoover Public Library on Nov. 6 can participate in the Helping Hands: Holiday Mail for Heroes program. Patrons can stop by the nonfiction desk at the library and add a personal message to a holiday card which will be donated to this annual Red Cross project. The event is free.
