Homewood Bagel Co. owners Joe and Ginny Leavens told Over the Mountain Journal back in March that they hoped to soon open a storefront in Homewood to sell their bagels.
This week, that dream became a reality. Their grand opening was scheduled for Dec. 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., but they had to close up shop by 11 a.m.
“Well, Homewood, you never disappoint,” the shop wrote in a Facebook post. They were already sold out of bagels, cinnamon rolls and croissants. And they continued selling out throughout the week.
“We were incredibly surprised to sell out every day we were open last week,” Ginny Leavens said. “We increased our bagel supply with each day of production, but we just got busier and busier. We’ve learned a lot from our grand opening week, and we hope to be able to keep up with the bagel demand!”
Homewood Bagel Co. is closed today, Dec. 26, for the holidays but will be open again tomorrow, Dec. 27. at 6:30 a.m. Their storefront is located at 2907 Central Ave in Homewood.
