Hoover Historical Society will hold its Spring Tea at the lovely home of Kim and James Harwell on Shades Crest Road. They are only the second owners of this home, purchasing it in 1997. The original owner and builder, Elizabeth Lacey, began construction of the home in 1947 and finished it in 1951. It is one of the first homes built on the historical bluff in Bluff Park. The Harwell’s have kept the home true to the original construction, only updating with necessities such as central heating and air and a paved driveway. The tea will be held on Sunday, April 3rd, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Park in front of Shades Crest Baptist Church, 452 Park Avenue, and catch the shuttle to the tea. Everyone is welcome!
