To celebrate its 10th Leadership Hoover Class, the organization is launching its inaugural Hoover’s Got Talent showcase and is currently searching for performers from Hoover and throughout the surrounding area.
Can you or your group sing, dance, play an instrument, perform magic, recite poetry, tell jokes, solve a Rubik’s Cube while balancing on one foot, or showcase another unique talent? Whether you’re 8 or 80, if you’ve got talent, Leadership Hoover wants to see it.
The live talent competition will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Hoover Public Library Theatre.
Performers selected to participate will compete for cash prizes:
• First Place: $1,000 • Second Place: $600 • Third Place: $300
Interested performers must submit:
• A completed application
• An audition video showcasing their talent
A panel of five judges, to be announced in the coming weeks, will evaluate performances and select the winners.
The deadline to apply is Friday, July 24, 2026.
