
Emma Lindsey Howell and David Randall Arendall Jr. were married on March 24, 2012 at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Dr. Thomas Michael Morgan and Father Thomas M. Kelly. A reception followed at Swann Lake Stables.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Julie Gilmore Howell of Vestavia Hills. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Randall Arendall Sr. also of Vestavia Hills.
Given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Gil Howell, she wore a dropped waist silk tulle ball gown with a basket weave textured bodice accented by satin buttons down the center back and floating tulle flowers scattered throughout the dress. She wore her mother’s bridal veil which was designed and created by the bride’s late maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson Gilmore.
Bridesmaids were Lacey Beno, Kathleen Bowers, Blair Darnell, Katie Hicks, Elizabeth Huffman, Eleanor Roberts and Molly Roberts all of Birmingham; Stephanie Colson of California; and Jenny Sawyer of Hawaii.
The father of the groom served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Charles Beck, Mandeep Bhutani, Jacob Dorsett, John McIntosh, Austin Reeder, Jordan Ross and Trent Weaver all of Birmingham; and Walter Parker of Montgomery.
Music was provided by Walt Rogers, organist, Susan Strickler, pianist and Jodi Haskins, violinist.
After a honeymoon to Antigua the couple will live in Vestavia Hills.
