Jones-Lawson
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Bartley Jones Jr. of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Larson Jones, to Joshua Wood Lawson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brady Lawson Sr. of Berry.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Richard Lundberg Sr. of Plano, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Bartley Jones Sr. of Birmingham.
Miss Jones is a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School and a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She received a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Miss Jones is employed with the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Earl Wood Sr. and Mrs. Viva Lawson and the late Mr. James Olin Lawson, all of Birmingham.
Mr. Lawson is a graduate of Berry High School and the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in Sport Management. He is employed with Southern Arkansas University.
The wedding will be June 21.
