
The Kiwanis Club of Birmingham is celebrating three business leaders who have helped to shape our city and build a stronger community. The 28th Birmingham Business Hall of Fame event will be held at the Harbert Center on Tuesday, August 25 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM to induct these honorees:
- George W. Barber Jr, Barber Companies, The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, Barber Marina
- Michael A. Mouron, Capstone Development Corporation
- Past Kiwanis President Larry Thornton, Thornton Enterprises
“It is an honor and a privilege to present the new Birmingham Business Hall of Fame inductees,” shared Hall of Fame Chair and Past Kiwanis Club of Birmingham President Nelson Bean. “This year’s extraordinary class of Birmingham business leaders made many notable and long-lasting contributions to our city and to our economy.”

Since 1997, the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham, the world’s largest Kiwanis Club, has annually selected local business leaders for induction into the Birmingham Business Hall of Fame. These are individuals who have exemplified strong leadership in the Birmingham business community and made extraordinary contributions to Greater Birmingham. To date, the Club has inducted 161 prominent Birmingham business leaders. Inductees can be living or deceased.
