Lethal Beauty Opening

Andreas Marks, head of the Japanese and Korean Art Department and director of the Clark Center at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, will give the opening lecture on the Lethal Beauty exhibit at the Birmingham Museum of Art at 6 p.m. June 27. Following the lecture, there will be an opening reception and viewing of the exhibit, which will include Japanese armor and weapons. The event includes food, drinks, music and a festive celebration of Japanese culture from 7-10 p.m. All seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
