Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Allen Logan of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Blakely Taylor Logan, to George Russell Blakeney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Russell Gibson III and Mr. William David Blakeney of Tuscaloosa.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Col. and Mrs. Homer Thomas Montgomery of Diamondhead, Miss., and the late Col. and Mrs. Edward O’Neal Logan of Birmingham.
Miss Logan is a graduate of Briarwood Christian High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and was presented at the Poinsettia Ball. Miss Logan is employed by the University of Alabama.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. James Lucien Hinton and the late Mr. Hinton and Dr. and Mrs. Adolph Linden Blakeney and the late Mrs. Sarah Sullivan Blakeney of Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Blakeney is a graduate of Northridge High School and attended the University of Alabama. He is the owner of Blakeney Company.
The wedding will be June 13 in Highlands, N.C.
