Local actress Beth McCord will bring Birmingham’s early years to life in “Lou Wooster: All Business” at the Homewood Public Library at 2 p.m. on March 1. McCord will share the stories of Lou Wooster’s infamy as a madam as well as her fame as a heroine in Birmingham’s deadly 1873 cholera epidemic. McCord will also take questions from the audience. Tickets are $8 and may be purchased in advance or at the door. Seating is limited. The performance is a fundraiser for the Lily of the Cahaba Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. For reservations or information, email [email protected].
