Hand in Paw’s Junior Board, SoHIP (Supporters of Hand in Paw), is organizing the 2nd Annual Mutt Strut: Dog Friendly 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run. The event will be held on April 16th at Birmingham’s new Railroad Park.
The run will raise funds for Hand in Paw’s important work. Their professionally trained teams of animals and handlers make more than 55,000 physically and emotionally beneficial visits a year to those most in need. Funds raised at this event make it possible for Hand in Paw to impact the lives of countless children with special needs, at-risk youth, struggling readers and the chronically and terminally ill they currently serve free of charge.
Not a runner? Pack a cooler & picnic and visit the Mutt Strut Village to listen to live music, visit local vendors, such as Dog Days of Birmingham & 32˚ A Yogurt Bar, and watch the agility/fly ball dogs in action!
